The end of analogue television in Columbus - Part 2
This video shows the last minutes of analog transmissions by WSYX (6) and WBNS (10) in Columbus, Ohio, and the final closing. At 23:59, not exactly * give or take, but a second cut, WSYX, the same bilingual infomercial, the sister station WTTE transferred when their analog service ended in February. WBNS unfortunately, probably moved the station with the most history in Central Ohio (Flippo the Clown, Fritz the Nite Owl, and other classic characters from the GoldAge of local television), simply turned a switch and went to static. Unlike the endless "Are you ready for DTV?" Hype that had all the stations in America for at least the last two years, NOBODY made by television stations Columbus a great deal about the last day of analog broadcasts. It 'a little' sad, really. Also here is not owned by anything here said, the video for posterity and historical interest is included.
